Personally, I cannot stand flash intro pages. As soon as I see one, I look for the "Skip Intro" button, and mash it with a vengeance.
The funny thing is, most internet users do the same thing.
And yes, there is proof that flash intros are bad.
Flash Intro Research proves it and blog comments back it up.

So, with that said, why is it that companies spend so much money on flash intros, and website owners spend so much time on the perfect introduction, when they are virtually the only ones to ever see it in full?

Anyway's, I'm not going to go to into this, it would be a duplication of effort. Instead, I'm giving you links to countless resources of why you should limit your flash animations.
